Tracing the Red Roots, Upholding the Green Vision 

 

Recently, Party members and young leading cadres from Julian Group traveled to Anji, Zhejiang, to carry out a themed Party‑day activity, witnessing firsthand the vibrant practices of ecological conservation and rural revitalization, while strengthening their Party spirit and reaffirming their original aspirations and mission through on‑the‑ground engagement.

 

01   Tracing the footsteps of Yucun, I gain insight into the “Two Mountains” philosophy. 

 

In Yucun Village, Anji, Party members traced the origins of the “Two Mountains” philosophy by visiting the village’s ecological bamboo forest and its rural common‑prosperity demonstration site. They explored the remarkable transformation of this small mountain village—from a history of “mountain‑clearing and mining, with dust filling the air”—to a vision of “lucid waters and lush mountains, enriching the people and revitalizing the village,” gaining a vivid sense of how the “Two Mountains” concept has been dynamically translated from theory into practice, from aspiration to reality.

 

 

 

 

02   Remembering the martyrs and drawing strength to forge ahead. 

 

Following the light of the revolutionary spark, the Party members arrived at the former site of the First CPC Branch in Northern Zhejiang. One by one, precious historical photographs and artifacts steeped in the passage of time vividly bring to life the heroic deeds and arduous struggles of our revolutionary martyrs, enabling everyone to gain a profound understanding of how the red gene has taken root in the embrace of lush mountains and clear waters, thriving and enduring through the ages.

 

 

 

03   Paying tribute to the meritorious, and carrying forward the spirit of science. 

 

Inside the “Two Bombs, One Satellite” Memorial Hall on a summer day, lush greenery thrives in serene, solemn splendor. As you step inside, the towering handprint wall standing before you commands an immediate pause. On its bronze surface, the intricate patterns of the palms of those who personally witnessed the “Two Bombs, One Satellite” program remain as vivid as if etched yesterday. With a gentle touch, the profound spirit of the older generation of scientists—“loving the motherland, selflessly dedicating themselves; relying on self-reliance and striving through hardship; fostering vigorous collaboration and daring to scale new heights”—is conveyed to the heart of every Party member.

 

 

 

 

History is vast, and the passage of time has been marked by great challenges. The Party members and young leading cadres of Julian will carry forward the spiritual torch passed down from their predecessors, fully integrating the nourishment of our red heritage and the inspiration of the “Two Mountains” philosophy into the innovative practice of environmental protection, thereby contributing Julian’s unique share to building a beautiful China where humanity and nature coexist in harmony.
