Solution

Lithium Battery Industry

1. Industry Overview

Lithium-battery manufacturing can be broadly divided into three major stages: electrode preparation, cell assembly, and formation and capacity grading. Among these, NMP is primarily used in the cathode manufacturing stage of lithium-battery production and serves as the core solvent for preparing the cathode slurry. The resulting exhaust gas and wastewater issues have become a key focus of environmental management in the lithium-battery industry.

Most are hazardous wastes and require professional disposal.

2. Solution

Julian Group focuses on the coordinated integration of the entire process—from waste gas recovery and distillation purification to wastewater treatment—centered on achieving efficient NMP recovery and meeting emission standards for pollutants. This approach is tailored to meet the production needs of the lithium battery industry and provides owners with highly efficient, stable, and mature technological solutions as follows:

(1) Yingzhong Environmental Protection provides equipment for exhaust gas treatment and wastewater treatment:

● Process exhaust gas: NMP flue gas recovery and treatment equipment (spray absorption tower);

● NMP-containing wastewater (waste liquid): Multi-effect distillation purification unit;

● Wastewater from the top of the waste liquid distillation tower: high-COD and high-ammonia-nitrogen wastewater treatment facility;

● Vacuum exhaust gas from waste liquid distillation equipment: STO incineration + steam reuse + baghouse dust removal system.

(2) JULIAN Environmental Protection provides chemical solvent raw materials, as well as services for the resource utilization and harmless disposal of solid waste (hazardous waste):

● Recycling and reusing waste organic solvents, as well as regenerating the finished solvent NMP;

● Hazardous wastes such as biochemical sludge and waste resins: Harmless incineration;

● Julian Group has a professional fleet of hazardous goods transportation vehicles, enabling us to provide timely transfer services for our clients.
